Panikoili: Unable to bear the failure, a disappointed youth allegedly died by suicide a few hours after matriculation examination results were announced today. The incident was reported from Badabirua village under Panikoili police limits in Jajpur district.

Allegedly, the deceased minor hanged himself with the help of a saree when no one else from his family was present in the house. Taking advantage of loneliness, the minor took the extreme step.

According to a source, the student became perturbed over his results in the matriculation exams as he scored lesser marks than what he had expected. He was awarded C Grade in the exams.

On being informed, Panikoili police reached the spot and seized the body. Police have registered an unnatural death (U/d) case in this connection and initiated a probe into the untimely death.
