Medicine stores across Odisha remain closed. Know where you can get medicines

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, May 30:

Medicine stores across Odisha remained closed today as the Utkal Chemists and Druggists Association has extended its support to the 24-hour strike called by All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists protesting the online sale of medicines.

However, Cuttack Chemists and Druggists Association has refrained itself from the strike.

In a respite, medicine stores located inside the campus of government and private hospitals will remain open, the Utkal Chemists and Druggists Association said.

Similarly, nearest medicine stores of those hospitals in rural areas not having medicine stores inside campus will remain open.

In view of the strike, the state government has directed authorities of government hospitals to be in readiness with medicine stock under the Niramaya scheme, informed Health secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda.
