Medicos of Odisha’s SCB hosp withdraw cease work stir

The cease work stir launched by junior doctors and house surgeons of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack was called off today.

They will resume their work from 5 pm today, reports said.

A decision in this regard was taken by the junior doctors’ association after a meeting with the hospital authorities.

It was decided in the meeting that a coordination meet will be held over problems of the medical students on the fourth Thursday of every month.

Besides, three platoons of police forces will be deployed on the hospital premises to ensure security for working doctors.

Notably, the medicos had launched cease work agitation over attack on a doctor by a patient’s relatives, who had thrashed a doctor alleging that negligence in treatment led to death of the patient.
