Members of Odisha Havildar Constable and Sipahi Mahasangh today launched agitation demanding fulfillment of their 6-point charter of demands.
As a mark of protest, they have worn black badges, sources said. Orissa Special Armed Police (OSAP), constables and havildars have joined the stir.
The Mahasangh has decided to resort to cease work from September 23 if the demands are not met.
Increase in grade pay, food allowance, abolition of contractual appointments are the prime demands of the body.
