Bhubaneswar: With the onset of winter following complete withdrawal of the monsoon from Odisha, the mercury level dropped across the State.
According to Bhubaneswar Metrological Centre, 4 places in Odisha recorded the minimum temperature below 15 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.
The places included — Sonepur, Angul, Phulbani, Daringbadi. While Sonepur recorded the lowest temperature of 12.8 degree C, the minimum temperature in Angul was 13.8 degree C, Phulbani (14.0 degree C) and Daringbadi (14.0 degree C).
The highest maximum temperature of 35.1 degree C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and lowest minimum temperature of 12.8 degree C was recorded at Sonepur in the plains of Odisha.
Koraput town recorded the minimum temperature of 15 degree C.
Similarly, the Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 19.8 degree C (minimum), 31.6 degree (maximum) and 20.0 degree C (minimum) and 32.2 degree C (maximum) respectively.
