Mercury soars above 40 degrees at 10 places in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Scorching heat made life unbearable in most parts of Odisha as 10 places of the State recorded more than 40 degrees Celsius today.

Titlagarh recorded the day’s highest temperature at 41 degrees Celsius followed by Bhawanipatna, Bolangir and Boudh at 40.5 degrees Celsius each, the Regional Meteorological Centre said.

Chandbali was at 40.8 degrees Celsius whereas Sonepur and Talcher were at 40.2 and 40.1 degrees Celsius respectively, it added.

Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded the maximum temperatures at 40.2 and 40 degrees Celsius respectively.
