The state is witnessing a marginal rise in temperature since last two-days. The mercury has breached the 35 degree Celsius mark in cities like Bhubaneswar, Bhawanipatna, Angul and Talcher.  The state has recorded increase in maximum temperature in the last two days in major cities.

The Regional meteorological (MeT) office predicts a marginal rise in temperature by one to two degree Celsius from tomorrow.

The cold wind from north has almost stopped blowing before February end resulting in the exit of winter. Besides, changes have been noticed in the sea wind circulation and the sky is clear. Furthermore, the south-west-south warm wind has started blowing from Telengana, which has contributed to rise in temperature in the state.
