Bhubaneswar: G Udayagiri recorded the lowest temperature in Odisha today with 5 degree Celsius as cold wave gripped the state.

The night temperature fell below 10 degree Celsius in 14 cities/ towns of the state, the Regional Meteorological Centre here said.

G Udayagiri was followed by Phulbani (7), Kirei (7.5), Angul (8), Koraput (8), Semiliguda (8.4), Daringbadi (8.5), Keonjhar (8.6), Rourkela (8.6), Sundargarh (8.8), Bhawanipatna (8.9), Ranital (9), Jharsuguda (9.2) and Sonepur (10).

Lowest temperature in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was registered at 13 degree Celsius, the least of this season.

The Meteorological Centre forecasted that shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur.
