Minor beaten, paraded in Odisha for stealing money

Udala, May 2:

A minor boy was beaten black and blue and paraded in full public view for allegedly looting a bag packed with money in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today.

According to reports, locals chased the boy at Udala market in the district while he was fleeing with the bag stashed with Rs 15,000 along with two of his accomplices.

Irate villagers beat him mercilessly while his accomplices managed to give locals a slip.

Police reached at the spot after being informed about the incident.

However, police personnel found it difficult to rescue the boy from the clutches of the mob.

Later, the accused was rescued in a critical condition who turned out to be a minor.

Mohan Majhi, the owner of the bag, has filed a complaint at Udala police station.
