Bhubaneswar: An eight-year-old boy was killed in crocodile attack in Odisha’s Angul district today.

The incident took place at Tikarpada near Satkosia gorge of Mahanadi river.

A crocodile reportedly dragged the minor boy away while he was washing his feet in the river in the morning.

On being informed, the Fire Brigade personnel along with the locals launched an operation to trace the boy.

The victim’s body was later recovered from the river.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed grief over the incident and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 6 lakh for the victim’s family.
