Minor girl abducted from home, gangraped in Odisha forest

Malkangiri: In yet another incident of sexual assault, two youths allegedly kidnapped a minor girl from her home and gangraped her in a forest here last night in the tribal district.

The Kalimela police rescued the victim, a native of Erbanpali village, and admitted her to the Malkangiri district headquarters hospital in critical condition.

Based on the victim’s statement, the police arrested the two accused identified as Budura Madakami and Sama Madakami of Kalimela area .

According to reports, the accused abducted a 15-year-old girl at around 11.00 pm last night while she was alone at home and took her to the forest where the two youths gangraped her.

Police registered a case against the duo under sections 376, 457, 363 of IPC and section 6 of POCSO Act for the crime.
