A minor girl who had gone missing from Dhamara area in Odisha's Bhadrak a month ago has been rescued today from Jagatpur area. The girl allegedly abducted by a youth on the pretext of marrying her was rescued with the help of District Legal Services Authority and social organization Awareness Odisha.

According to reports, the minor victim has alleged that she was being raped by the youth, identified as Dilu Majhi (20), who had abducted her from a village fair in Dhamara area about one month ago on the pretext of marriage and providing her education.
However, Dilu raped her at a rented house in Nankar area under Jagatpur police limits.
Meanwhile, the organizations have jointly filed a case at Jagatpur police station here.
