Minor raped, pics leaked on social media in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

In a shocking incident in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, a 15 year old school girl from Tirtol area was allegedly raped repeatedly over a period of four months and pictures of the act were uploaded to a social media network.

According to the victim, the main accused — identified as Bapi Sahu, son of Puna Sahu, a resident of Barundi village– raped her and one of his associates – identified as Alok Sahu, son of Sukadeba Sahu, a resident of Balidhi village — filmed the act without her knowledge over four months ago at her school.

Bapi threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident.

Further, armed with the pictures, he blackmailed her to submission and raped her several times over a period of four months.

“Bapi Sahu called me to the school rooftop. I had been there with him. While he did the indecent thing with me there, Alok Sahu took pictures. I didn’t even notice being pictured. Bapi later asked me not to reveal this to anyone including my family. He threatened to kill me, if I disclosed it to anyone,” said the victim.

The incident came to fore only after the pictures were released on a social media network and locals brought the matter to the notice of the victim’s family members.

According to the father of the victim, they have lodged a complaint with the police.
