Miscreants hack woman to death, injure 2 sons after locking hubby in Odisha

In a brutal incident, unidentified miscreants hacked a woman to death last night in Keonjhar district of Odisha locking her husband in separate room.

Two minor sons of the deceased have critically been injured while trying to rescue their mother from the claws of the murderers and admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

While extramarital affair tittle-tattled as cause of the brutal attack and murder, family dispute is no way out of suspicion though the cause is yet to be ascertained.

According to police, Mirza Majhi of Daitari Bazar was staying with his wife Laxmi Majhi (45) and two sons – Muna Majhi (15) and Potal Majhi (10) under Daitari police limits in the district.

Last night, more than three unidentified miscreants barged into Mirza’s house and locked him in a room.

Later, they hacked his wife Laxmi on her neck to death.

Going to protect their mother, the two innocent boys were attacked by the evildoers too.

The right hand of Muna was cut off by the miscreants and the two brothers were admitted to the hospital with several cuts on their bodies.

Police have started probe into the incident detaining one on suspicion.
