Miscreants kill man by slitting his throat in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, dump body along NH

Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants killed a 40-year-old man by slitting his throat in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today.

The miscreants fled the spot after dumping the body along Ranchi-Vijaywada National Highway near Jhaladunguri Square under Badampahad police limits in Mayurbhanj, sources said.

The victim has been identified as Udaynath Kisku, son of Dhana Kisku, of Kherana village under Rairangpur Rural police limits.

On being informed by the locals, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

The police have launched a probe into the incident. The scientific team was called in to assist the police in the investigation.

“We registered a case in this regard and launched a probe into the incident. We are trying to find out the reason behind the murder and the people involved in it,” said an official of Rairangpur Rural police.
