Miscreants loot cash, gold from temple in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Unidentified miscreants looted gold ornaments from Shani temple near Januganj under Bhadrak Town police limits in the district late last night.

As per reports, the miscreants looted gold worth lakhs of rupees and Rs 30,000 cash from the temple’s donation box late last night.

When a few devotees came to the temple early this morning to perform Puja, they found the door was broken open. They immediately called up police, who rushed to the spot for an inquiry.

Meanwhile, the loot has triggered resentment among locals, who alleged that temple loot has become a regular affair in the locality due to poor patrolling by police.
