Miscreants loot over Rs 10 lakh from ATM in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted more than Rs 10 lakh from an ATM at Hatasahi under Lingaraj police limits in Odisha capital, last night.

According to reports, the looters broke the machine using gas cutter and decamped with the cash. Though some locals informed the police regarding the suspicious activity of the robbers, the wrongdoers left the place before the arrival of cops.

As per an official, cash was loaded in the ATM on Saturday. The miscreants have looted around Rs 1.60 lakh from the machine after spraying chemical on CCTV cameras.

Police have started investigation into the matter while efforts were on by cops to identify and trace the looters by examining footage of CCTV cameras installed near the ATM kiosk.
