Miscreants loot Rs 1.07 lakh at gunpoint from 2 youths in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Telkoi: Two youths were looted Rs 1.07 lakh today by two unidentified miscreants at gunpoint near Dobalapal Chhak under Telkoi police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar.

The victims are Alok Palei and Amiya Kumar Barik, both from Ranki village in the district.

According to a senior official of Telkoi police station, the youths were on their way to Chhamunda village riding a motorcycle, when they were confronted by the miscreants. The criminals targeted a gun at one of the youths and attacked another with a sharp weapon resulting in severe injuries to the hand.

The miscreants after scaring the victims forcibly snatched away the money and decamped with it.

The incident took place in the forenoon. The injured were rescued and rushed to a hospital in Telkoi for treatment. On being informed, Telkoi police reached the spot and launched a probe.
