Miscreants loot Rs 27 lakh from construction company staff in Odisha

Cuttack: In a broad daylight robbery, unidentified miscreants looted Rs 27 lakh from a staff of a private construction company after attacking him with knife near Jagatpur branch of Allahabad Bank in Odisha’s Cuttack district today.

The victim, an employee of Shri Durga Construction Company, was attacked by the robbers while he was returning after withdrawing the amount from the bank. They decamped with the cash soon after committing the crime.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. The CCTV footage of the bank is being examined to identify the wrongdoers.
