Miscreants loot Rs 4 lakh from businessman in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 4 lakh from a businessman near Chakalapadar village under Jharigaon police limits in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, today.

According to reports, victim Rajendra Yadav was travelling on a motorcycle carrying a bag containing the cash. In the meantime, three motorcycle-borne miscreants attacked him with sword and snatched away the bag from his possession.

The looters fled the spot soon after committing the crime. Locals rescued the businessman and took him to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. He has sustained injuries on his right hand.

Police have started investigation into the incident and efforts were on to trace and nab the wrongdoers.
