Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted valuables including gold ornaments from a police officer's house at New LIC colony in Badambadi area of Odisha's millennium city Cuttack.

As per a complaint lodged at Badambadi police station, the robbers broke open the lock of the house and decamped with the valuables.

The miscreants also robbed gold ornaments from another government employee's house in the colony in a similar fashion before fleeing the area, sources said.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
