Rourkela: Tension prevailed after two unidentified miscreants opened fire at a youth in Bisra in Odisha's Sundargarh district here today. The victim, identified as Muhammad Raza, a pick-up van driver, was immediately rushed to Rourkela Government hospital in a critical state.

Sources said though the reason behind the attack is still unclear, it is suspected to be the outcome of a group clash.

As per reports, Raza was talking to his neighbours at a slum near Bisra ITI when two bike-borne maksed miscreants approached them. A scuffle broke out and all of a sudden, one of them took out a pistol and fired at Raza. The bullet hit Raza in his chest and he collapsed. While family members rushed him to the hospital, the accused immediately fled the scene.

Police on getting information, reached the spot and started investigation. A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace the accused.
