Miscreants snatch gold chains from 4 women at Puja pandal in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Several incidents of snatching were reported from various Puja pandals in Odisha capital here today.

Taking advantage of huge rush at Puja pandals on the occasion of Mahastami, miscreants allegedly snatched gold ornaments from women.

As per the allegations, the miscreants snatched gold chains from at least four women who visited Bomikhal Dussehra pandal today morning.

“The miscreants snatched the gold chains from four women at Bomikhal Puja pandal within 15 minutes. It is suspected that an all-women snatchers’ gang was involved in the snatching incidents,” said a source.

The Laxmisagar police in the capital city here have launched a probe into the allegations by examining CCTV footage from Bomikhal Puja pandal.
