Missing Canadian national traced, safe: Sukma SP

A Canadian national namely John Szlalzak, who went missing from Singamadugu forest in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh bordering Odisha last evening, is safe at a village in the district, informed Sukma SP today.

The foreigner is safe at Kistar village in Sukma district. He had gone there riding a bicycle. However, locals detained him as they were unable to understand his language, the SP said.

Earlier it was suspected that he has been kidnapped. Chhattisgarh police had launched a massive search operation to trace him.

Following reports of abduction, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj had sought a report from Odisha government regarding the incident.
