Bhubaneswar: The Law department of Odisha today dismissed media reports regarding the disappearance of two files of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration from its possession.
The department claimed that the two files are in safe condition.
“Media reports had claimed that two files of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration were untraceable in the records of JTA Section of the Law department. There is no truth in these reports,” said the Law department in a press note today.
The two files are very old and they got mixed with some other files in the JTA section. So, a circular was issued to all sections of the Law department to trace the two files, added the press note.
“The two files have been traced out in good condition,” claimed the department.
Earlier, the department had issued a circular to locate two files of the SJTA that had gone untraceable.
“In inviting a reference to the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to say that two files of JTA Section bearing No-JTA-55/2006(pt) and JTA-06/2014 are untraceable in the records of JTA Section. Therefore, it is hereby requested to all sections of this Department to conduct search operation in their records on a priority basis and submit the said files, if available, to JTA Section immediately for compliance of the order of Hon’ble High Court,” the circular issued by state Law department read.
