Bhubaneswar: A 45-year-old man, who went missing from his house in Brahmani Tarang area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district yesterday, was found buried in the locality today.

The deceased has been identified as Sushil Nayak of Ganjutola village under Brahmani Tarang police limits, sources said.

Sushil went to meet some people after receiving a phone call yesterday evening. However, he did not return home till late night. His family members failed to trace him despite launching a frantic search, sources added.

Sushil’s family today got information that some people have killed him and buried his body outside the village. On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body, said a villager.

“We have seized the body and launched a probe into the incident. The postmortem will be conducted tomorrow,” said a police officer.
