According to reports, the jawan identified as Prabhat Chandra Mohapatra had boarded the Ahmedabad-Puri train for his hometown Bhandaripokhari in Bhadrak. However, he went missing from the train and his luggage was recovered from the train at Puri Railway station.

The Railway authorities had informed Mohapatra’s family members about the recovery of belongings following which a missing complaint was lodged at Bhadrak recently.

“Prabhat is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Surat. The hospital staff has informed us,” Mohapatra’s family members told media.

It was unclear though under what circumstances he went missing from the train and how he reached hospital.
