Missing Personal Security Guard of Odisha Planning Board’s Deputy Chairman found dead

Puri: Personal Security Guard of Odisha Planning Board’s Deputy Chairman Sanjay Das Burma, Chittaranjan Palei, who was missing since yesterday, was found dead on a river bank here in the district today.

The body was recovered from the shore of Nuanai River under Town Police Station.

The locals found the body floating in the river in the morning following which they informed the police.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and identified the body.

The 22-year-old Chittaranjan Palei, a resident of Sanabandhakera village under Brahmagiri police limits in Puri district, had married four months ago. He was missing from home since Sunday. Suspecting abduction by friends, his family had lodged a missing complaint at Puri Town Police Station.

During investigation, the police had found the youth’s mobile phone and watch on Sunday. In this connection, three persons were detained for interrogation.
