Missing teacher found dead at river bank in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Body of a teacher, who had gone missing, was found at Mahanadi river bank near Khamarang village under Banki police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Nimai Charan Mohapatra. He was a resident of Sahadapada village and working as the headmaster of Sinhanathpur UGME School.

Mohapatra went missing three days ago and his family members had lodged a complaint in this regard with Banki police yesterday. However, he was found dead at the river bank this morning with the body being in a decomposed state.

Locals spotted the body and informed Mohapatra’s kin. Police have started investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances under which he died.
