Missing youth found dead in Odisha’s Deogarh, murder suspected

Deogarh: A youth who had gone missing since Tuesday was found dead at a bush near Palunipada village under Riamal police limits in Odisha’s Deogarh district today.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Mahanand of the village. He went missing on Tuesday and his family members were searching for him since then.

Locals spotted his body at the bush in a decomposed state this morning and informed the police about it. Cops have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Though the reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, the circumstances under which the body was found indicate that he was murdered, police said. Scientific team and dog squad have been roped in for investigation into the matter.
