MKCG Hospital doctor Durgadatta Sasani arrested for submitting fake caste certificate

Bhubaneswar: Koraput police have arrested Durgadatta Sasani, a doctor serving at the MKCG Hospital in Berhampur, for allegedly submitting fake caste certificate to avail medical course studies and subsequent job.

As per police sources, the doctor’s younger brother Ambika Prasad Sasani had lodged a complaint against him at the Semiliguda police station in Koraput district alleging that Durgadatta, a resident of Samabaya Colony in Semiliguda, had furnished fake caste certificate despite being a Brahmin.

As Ambika Prasad disclosed the offence committed by his brother Durgadatta, the latter threatened the former to kill him with poison injection, the complainant added.

On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case against the doctor under Sections 468, 471, 420 and 506 of the IPC. He was arrested and produced before a local court.
