MLA Pradeep Panigrahi to walk out of jail soon as HC grants bail in job fraud case

Cuttack: Gopalpur MLA and former BJD leader Pradeep Panigrahi will walk out of jail soon as the Orissa High Court (HC) granted him bail in job fraud case today.

The HC granted conditional bail to the legislator in connection with the Tata Motors job fraud case registered at Golanthara police station in Ganjam district.

Sources said a total of six cases are pending against Panigrahi and the court has granted him bail in all the cases, paving the way for his release from Jharpada Special Jail.

Earlier on December 3, the MLA was arrested after evidences came to light suggesting that he collected money from people on behalf of Akash Kumar Pathak, son of arrested IFS officer Abhay Pathak, on the pretext of providing them jobs in Tata company.
