Bhubaneswar: The State Election Commission today launched the 'Mo Booth' mobile phone application which will provide detailed information on polling stations and queue lengths to the voters of Khordha district.
With the usage of the app, voters can find their polling stations and get information regarding real-time queue lengths.
Users can locate their designated booth within their constituency through a simple search function, facilitating hassle-free navigation on polling day.
The app also offers real-time updates on the number of people who have attended the polls, enabling voters to make informed decisions regarding the optimal timing for casting their votes.
This apart, the concerned officials will get live updates on polling party arrivals, polling completion, and can request assistance for EVM malfunctions through the app.
The BLO module of the app caters to Booth Level Officers, serving as a powerful tool for managing and optimizing polling booth operations. BLOs can efficiently update the queue size of voters at their respective booths, enabling them to anticipate and address potential bottlenecks in the voting process. By providing accurate and up-to-date information on voter turnout, the BLO module facilitates strategic decision-making, ensuring a smooth and efficient voting experience for all citizens.
On the other hand, the SO module is designed to streamline communication and coordination among Sector Officers, facilitating effective oversight and management of multiple polling booths within a designated sector. Sector Officers can seamlessly update the status of polling booths, providing instant visibility into the progress of polling activities. In addition, SOs can request assistance or support as needed, enabling swift resolution of any issues or challenges encountered during the electoral process.
