Mo Bus-Cuttack ADM vehicle accident: CRUT releases CCTV footage, defends bus driver [Watch]

Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has released a CCTV footage pertaining to the collision between a Mo Bus and vehicle of Cuttack ADM near Raj Bhawan Square in Odisha capital yesterday.

The incident took place at around 12.30 PM when the official was returning to Cuttack in the government vehicle after completion of work at the Bhubaneswar Airport.

Fortunately, the ADM didn’t sustain any major injury in the road mishap.

On the other hand, the CRUT has issued a statement to clarify the situation saying that the incident was ‘gravely misunderstood’.

“It is important to note that the Mo Bus driver was not at fault in this accident. We have conducted a thorough investigation and the video footage shared clearly shows that the driver was driving within the designated speed limit and was in complete control of the vehicle,” the CRUT said.

“It is disheartening to see the misinformation that has been circulating regarding the driver’s actions. We want to emphasize that the driver did everything in his power to prevent this accident from occurring. He reacted quickly and responsibly to the unforeseen circumstances, potentially preventing an even more tragic outcome,” it said in the statement.
