‘Mo School’ job fraud: Odisha cops nab 3 cyber criminals

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police today arrested three persons in connection with a job fraud case in Odisha capital here.

The arrested have been identified as Amar Samal, Madan Naag and Raigulu Patra, said ACP (Zone 5) Gautam Kisan.

The trio has been arrested from Bharatpur area of the city. The police have seized Rs 2 lakh in cash, two laptops, a desktop, 13 mobile phones, bank cheque books, ATM cards, fake seals and other documents from the accused, added the official.

The accused duped several job aspirants by opening a fake website in the name of Mo School Abhiyan of the state government. They had also issued fake advertisements for recruitment of data entry operators, office assistants and peons under the scheme, said police.

The accused trio was seeking money from unemployed youths to provide them jobs under the scheme, police added.

The authorities of Mo School Abhiyan had lodged a complaint in this regard with police. School and Mass Education department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Aswathy S had also informed the incident to the Commissionerate Police, sources said.
