A day after hundreds of Gana Sikshaks staged dharnas in front of the residences of members of the inter-ministerial committee to decide on the modalities for regularisation of their jobs; School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra today informed that modalities were finalized at the committee’s meeting today.

Mishra made the statement after the conclusion of the meeting of the inter-ministerial committee chaired by Finance Minister Pradeep Amat.

“Modalities were given final shape at the inter-ministerial meeting today. It will be sent for approval of the state government,” informed Mishra to reporters.

“We are taking steps to resolve problems of Gana Sikshaks. Grant-in-Aid schools not having own land will be provided with land. Cabinet’s approval will be sought in this regard,” he added.

Mishra said uniforms and other facilities will be provided to students of Grant-in-Aid schools.

Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan were present during the meeting.
