Modi to inaugurate projects worth over Rs 4500cr during Baripada visit

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Baripada in Mayurbhanj district on January 5 to inaugurate a slew of projects by the Central Government worth over Rs 4,500 crore.

This will be Modi’s first visit to the State in 2019 and second visit in less than two weeks.

The projects to be inaugurated by the PM include four laning of key NHs, inauguration of a section of IOCL LPG Pipeline, doubling of a key railway line and flagging off a new passenger train.

Modi would lay foundation stone for four laning of 43.2 km Rimuli-Koida section of NH-215, 104.2 km Singara-Binjabahal section of NH-6 and 53.2 km Koida-Rajmunda section of NH-215. The PM would also dedicate the Balasore-Haldia-Durgapur section of Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur LPG Pipeline of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) being built at a cost of Rs. 1,080 crores.

Besides, he would also inaugurate doubling of Naranpur-Basantpur and Chillikidara-Sagadapata line that will connect mineral rich Keonjhar and Jajpur districts. He will also and flag off a passenger train from Tatanagar to Badampahar.

The other projects to be inaugurated by the PM include Multi modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Balasore and conservation and restoration and conservation of a historical site of Haripurgarh in Mayurbhanj and new Passport Sewa Kendras at Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur, Aska, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal.
