Balasore: More areas of Odisha's Balasore district have been sealed and declared as containment zone after two persons of the region tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.
"Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the "TALANAGAR" G.P. area of Soro Block which is a densely populated area that requires detailed measures for active contacts tracing. To facilitate this, it is necessary to make the area consisting of five villages of Talanagar GP & One village of Sabira GP as a Containment Zone and to restrict public entering into and going out of the Containment Zone," an official order of the district administration said.
The following landmarks have been indicated as Containment Zone Boundary and area within the boundary has been declared as Containment Zone:
*Binchanagadia (Galapola).
* Kalibhanga Chhaka.
* Baunsa Khunta Chhaka.
* Padanapada Patuli Pola.
*Ankurakhaji Dwipa Pola.
* Sanskrit Maha Vidyalaya Salampur (Entrance).
* Talanagar Behera Sahi.
All vehicular movement of public transport and personal movement will be stopped in the areas. All the inhabitants within the Containment Zone shall strictly remain in home. All the shopping establishments of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately, the order said.
The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the Block Administration. All the Government and Private Institutions within the Containment Zone are hereby closed forthwith, the order added.
This order came into effect immediately and the containment will continue for 7 days effective from midnight of 29.04.2020 till midnight of 06.05.2020.
