More JE, AEE posts to be created for drinking water supply project in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will create additional posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) to strengthen drinking water supply facility in the urban areas of the state.

The state Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal in this regard.

The state government will create 365 JE posts under Odisha Diploma Engineering Service Public Health (PH) cadre and 91 AEE posts under Odisha Engineering Service PH cadre for providing round-the-clock drinking water supply facility in the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Odisha.

With the restructuring of these two cadres, the sanctioned strength of JE under Odisha Diploma Engineering Service PH cadre will go up to 791 from the existing 426. Similarly, the sanctioned strength of AEE under Odisha Engineering Service PH cadre will go up to 404 from the existing 313, said an official.
