Morning classes begin across Odisha

With the onset of summer and heat wave like condition, morning classes began in all government and private schools across Odisha starting today.

The timing of the classes will be 7 AM till 11 AM, said a notification from the School and Mass Education Department.

The department has also asked the schools to complete all examinations by end of this month, make adequate provision for drinking water and keep first aid facilities handy during the days of the examination.

Besides, the schools have been advised not to force students to do physical exercise against their will.

In a measure aimed at preventing sun stroke, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has also issued a circular to all schools – both private and government – to announce summer vacation by May 3.
