Morning sittings at courts across Odisha from April 8

Bhubaneswar: Courts across Odisha will hold morning sittings from April 8 due to the prevailing heatwave conditions in the state.

The Orissa High Court has sent a letter in this regard to all district and sessions judges in the state.

The morning sittings of district and subordinate courts at all places in the state will commence on April 8 and continue till the last working day of the summer vacation, said the letter sent by Orissa High Court Registrar (in-charge) Akhil Kumar Paschimakabat.

The morning sittings of district and subordinate courts at all places in Odisha except Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Bhubaneswar, Koraput Sadar and Puri Sadar will be held from 7 am to 1 pm with a recess of half an hour from 10 am to 10.30 am, said the letter.

The morning sittings of district and subordinate courts at Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Bhubaneswar, Koraput Sadar and Puri Sadar will be held from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm, added the letter.
