Most-wanted ATM looter arrested with 5 others in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar:  A special Squad of the Commissionerate Police (CP) arrested most-wanted ATM looter Sambhav Acharya along with five others here today.

The cops also seized cash of Rs 42,000 from his possession. The fraudster has over 30 cases of theft and loot pending against him at various police stations, including eight in Bhubaneswar and five in Pune .

Earlier in May, 2017, Acharya was nabbed by  the Commissionerate Police while he watching Bahubali- 2 at a cinema hall here. He was later released on bail.

The 30-year-old youth was again arrested by the Sakinaka Police of Mumbai in September, 2018 on charges of duping many people in the the Western Suburbs. The cops had then said that Acharya would make round trips to Mumbai at least twice a month to dupe people. The accused would go to the ATM counters and take money from people’s bank accounts with his trick. The police  had rrseted him from a high-end hotel in Andheri.
