Mother outshines son in Odisha Matric Exam, secures B2 grade

Daringibadi: Age is no bar in learning and acquiring knowledge. This was proved by a 47-year-old mother, who passed in B2 grade in Odisha Matric Examination-2023 whose results were announced on Thursday.

Sujata Nayak, a resident of Lahora Sahi at Daringibadi area in Kandhamal district and mother of four children, had appeared in the annual Class 10th Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, along with her son Ayush.

Interestingly, she outshone her son Ayush in the examination with B2 grade. She secured 346 marks out of 600 in the annual board examination, while her son cleared the examination with D grade. He secured 258 marks.

Sujata gives the entire credit of her success to her family, especially husband, who works as a mason.

According to reports, Sujata, a member of Mission Shakti, had core interest in studies. However, she could not be able to continue it due to family issues. She wanted to clear the Matriculation for which she made preparation being enrolled as an open school student at Lal Bahadur Vidyapeeth in Daringibadi. As her son Ayush was also in the Class 10, it became more easier for her to get ready of the annual examination.
