Mother, son found hanging in Odisha village

Nuapada: In a socking incident, a mother and her young son were found hanging from a tree at Badi village under Khariar police limits in Nuapada district today.

The locals spotted the mother-son duo hanging from a banyan tree near a canal in the morning. The deceased persons have been identified as Gayatri Khamari and her son Asish Khamari.

Sources said that the mother-son duo hailed from Khariar area, but had been residing at Badi village since a long time.

Police launched probe to ascertain whether it was a suicide or murder.
