The Odisha Assembly today adopted a motion of thanks on the Governor’s address.
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik, in his reply on the motion, reiterated his demand for special category state status for the state. He said his government respects the verdict of the people.
Claiming that his government had been keeping its promises to the people in the last 14 years, Patnaik said his government is committed to irrigate additional 10 lakh hectares in the next five years.
Chief Minister Patnaik said his government is committed to the cause of the poor, women and scheduled tribes and scheduled castes.
