Motorcyclist dies after being hit by tractor in Odisha’s Sonepur

Sonepur: A motorcyclist died after reportedly being hit by a tractor in Birmaharajpur area in Sonepur district today.

The deceased has been identified as Sankarshan Dwari (20), a resident of Mursundhi village under Birmaharajpur police limits.

According to reports, Shankarshan and his elder brother Shankirtanya were moving on a motorcycle to a nearby place to call a mason for construction of their house. During the period, a tractor coming in opposite direction near Yuvrajpur Chhak hit the motorcycle killing Shankarshan on the spot. His brother sustained critical injuries in the incident.

The locals sent injured person to the Birmaharajpur Sub Divisional Hospital for treatment.

On receiving information, the police reached the accident site and recovered the body. A case has been registered at the Subalaya Police Station and a probe is underway.
