Motorcyclist dies in road mishap in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A youth died after an unknown vehicle hit his motorcycle near Kanjara village on the National Highway-55 in Angul district on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sumant Biswal (28), a resident of Bimalabeda village under Jarapada police limits.

According to reports, the incident occurred at around 11.00 pm on Tuesday when Sumant was returning to home from Jarapada on his motorcycle. An unknown vehicle coming from opposite direction hit the motorcycle and ran away following which the youth was knocked over and died on the spot.

The commuters travelling on the route informed a local police about the accident. On receiving information, Jarapada police reached the spot and sent the boy for autopsy.
