The Odisha government has begun preparations to organise the seven-day long Odisha Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) International Trade Fair-2014 scheduled to be held at the IDOC Exhibition Ground here from January 1.
A high-level preparatory meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner, where it was decided that the previous year’s logo for the trade fair would be used this year too.
It was also decided that the best enterprises of Odisha would be properly showcased under the Odisha pavilion while the extraordinary activities of other sectors, including handloom and handicraft, will also be showcased properly.
Seminars on best practices and policies on promotion and development of MSME sector along with opportunities for investing in Odisha would also be organised during the seven days of the fair, official sources said.
Besides several Central and state PSUs which will participate in the international exhibition, the state government has also decided to invite ITPO, NSIC and FIEO to the showpiece event.
Cultural programmes would be organised every evening for the entertainment of visitors, sources said.
