Murderous attack on integrated MBA student of BJB College, two arrested

Bhubaneswar: An integrated MBA student of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar was allegedly attacked with a sharp object by miscreants on Saturday night. Badagada police arrested two accused persons in this connection today.

The victim was identified as Saswat Panda. He was attacked at a place behind the college and the two accused stabbed the MBA student with a broken glass bottle. During the primary investigation, it was known that the crime was a fallout of past enmity, a senior police official in Badagada station said.

Saswat was admitted to a hospital for treatment and his health condition is stable now. One of the accused is a student of the college and the other one is a non-student, the official stated.

“We are probing further to ascertain the involvement of others, if any,” the policeman added.
