Bhubaneswar: Solo traveling is nothing short of therapy and more and more travelers are undertaking accompanied trips to destinations on their bucket list. Meet Tapas Mirdha who embarked on one such journey to six districts in the southern part of Odisha and posted a stunning video of his tour titled ‘Odisha Safar’.

One can see breathtaking shots of the rushing geographical terrain, bridges on rivers, meandering roads, amidst forests, during foggy mornings, late evenings, sun rises and sun sets in the Odisha landscape. Tapas chronicles his rendezvous with local food, tea stalls and people along with scenic POV frames as he rode through Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi.

Perched atop his bike, armed with a GoPro Hero 5 camera, this 21-year-old from Sambalpur covered all the six districts in 19 days to explore the uncharted parts of south Odisha. Talking to Odisha Sun Times, he said, “This was an experience of a lifetime! People of these places were very welcoming and friendly. There was this one time, when an elderly man saw me clicking pictures of a a place and invited me to take a swig of salpa rasa, which is prepared by extracting water from palm tree and fermenting it.”
